1860 Census for Morgan County, Alabama

Here are two adjacent households, spanning two census pages (bottom of page 496 and top of page 497). Two daughters of Micajah and Dorcas, Dorcas and Nicey, are taking care of their sister Mary's children. (Mary died in 1856 and her husband, Sherrill Smith, died in 1845.) The two oldest Smith children would be Mary's children Nathaniel and Sherrill. I don't know who William and Martha were.

In the next household is the family of Narcissa, another daughter of Micajah and Dorcas. Narcissa must have died since ther 1850 census (when the family was in Texas).
