Hi again, my email address has since changed to ouke@cox.net. Here is a pic of Columbus Micajah Hill, Mary Jane Godfrey and children. The baby in the picture is my great grandmother Bonnie whom I had the chance of meeting once before she died. I am really happy to see this forum on the net.

I am beginning to think that the person who typed the above meant to say "burried in a little indian cemetery" since I saw the post on your website by Jody where she says her great uncle took her to a cemetery... Is there any way I can contact her?

I don't have her current e-mail address, but I was contacted recently by J.D. Smith, who knows where the cemetery is that Jodi referred to.Sunny wrote:I am beginning to think that the person who typed the above meant to say "burried in a little indian cemetery" since I saw the post on your website by Jody where she says her great uncle took her to a cemetery... J.D. scanned and sent me the attached map by e-mail--red dot is the cemetery.

Thank you. So this is the same cemetery that Micajah Sr. and his wife is burried in is what I am assuming.

Re: Picture of Columbus and family
I think it's the same as the burial place you mentioned in your message. The spot on the map is where "Aunt Nicey", daughter of Micajah Sr., is said to have been buried (per J.D. Smith). Apparently, somebody either has information to the effect that Micajah Sr. was also buried there or made an assumption. Hopefully, somebody who knows will see these messages and provide more information.Sunny wrote:Thank you. Re: Picture of Columbus and family
Just got an email from the person who said that they were burried in the little indian cemetery and he says that he visited there and it is now in a pasture. I have asked him if he has pictures and any info on who all is burried there. I was also going to ask if anyone here knows anything at all about Mary Jane Godfreys parents because I cannot find any for her.
Re: Picture of Columbus and family
This is a picture of Columbus Hill and Mary Jane on their porch at the house he built in Oktaha, Oklahoma. Their children and grandchildren are also here. From Left to Right is: Ona and Troy Hill with Vivian, "Bob" Robert Hill, "Uncle Bus" Oscar Hill and Eula, Zuma Hill and Carl, Mary Jane and Columbus Micajah. Up front: Margie Hancock holding Dollie, Bonnie Hill, and my grandmother Jane Irene Hancock.
