Micajah Jr. and his wife Rachel missing from 1860 & 1870 census

Has anybody been able to find Micajah Jr. and/or his wife Rachel in the 1860 or 1870 census schedules? They were in Blount County, Alabama in 1855 and Rachel was at their son William's homestead in Marshall County, Alabama in 1878 (at which time she was apparently a widow).

I've spent a fair amount of time looking for them and their youngest children in 1860 and 1870 and haven't been able to find them. Apparently, Micajah Jr. died sometime between 1855 and 1878, but I have no idea when or where.
